The Urban Agency of Khémisset held the 12th session of its Board of Directors on Tuesday 24 May 2022, chaired by Mr Mohammed TIGRATINE, Director of Legal Affairs at the Ministry of National Land Use Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and City Policy, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Province of Khémisset and the President of the Provincial Council of Khémisset, the presidents of the territorial communities and professional chambers, the representatives of the governmental sectors and all the local stakeholders concerned.
This meeting was devoted to presenting the report on the activities of the Agence Urbaine of Khemisset for the last three years 2019-2020-2021, its action plan for the year 2022, as well as its provisional program 2022-2024. After a fruitful debate, the council unanimously adopted, by all its members, the reports and action plan of the Agence Urbaine of Khemisset as well as its draft budget for the year 2022.
The Board of Directors of the Urban Agency of Khémisset held its thirteenth session on 26 May 2023 at the headquarters of the Province of Khémisset, under the chairmanship of Mr. REDA GUENNOUN, Inspector General at the Ministry of National Territorial Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and City Policy, and in the presence of the Governor of the Province of Khémisset as well as the members of the Board of Directors
After the opening speech by the President of the Board of Directors, Mr. Hicham EL KHOURASSANI, Director of the Urban Agency of Khémisset, presented the activity report of the Establishment for the year 2022, the action plan for the year 2023, as well as the forecast action plan for the period 2023-2025.
According to the presented assessment, the results were globally positive in the fields of urban planning and management, given that all the commitments, presented during the last session of the council, were honored.
Regarding urban planning, the 2022 review reveals a rate of 90% in terms of coverage by urban planning documents, with 35 documents approved since the creation of the Urban Agency and 09 documents under study, including the urban development master plan of Khémisset-Tiflet-Sidi Allal El Bahraoui. The urban agency also ensures full coverage of all the centres of the province in restitution and aerial photographs, as well as the monitoring of several studies related to urban planning and upgrading. As for urban management, 1549 files were processed during 2022, including 691 projects in rural areas, 334 projects under the major projects procedure and 1215 under small projects.
As part of its role of support and assistance, the Urban Agency took part in all the meetings of the unified regional investment commission as well as in the sessions of the communal councils within its area of intervention, and also ensured that it provided its technical assistance to citizens and users.
During this intervention, it was emphasized that the Agency's action plan for the year 2023 aims to translate the guidelines of the supervising Ministry at the local level and to meet the expectations of local partners. To this end, this year will see the approval of urban planning documents currently under preparation, and the updating of urban planning documents will be systematically carried out three years before the end of their public utility. This year will also see the migration from the current quality management system to the new version of the ISO 9001 version 2015 standard, as well as the 100% digitization of procedures through the improvement of the Urban Agency's website.
After the interventions of the members of the Board of Directors and the answers provided to their questions by the President of the Board of Directors and the Director of the Urban Agency, all the proposed resolutions were adopted. In his closing remarks, the President of the Board of Directors thanked the members of the Board of Directors for their continued support to the Urban Agency and praised the efforts made by the Management and the staff of the Establishment. The session was closed by the reading of the message of fidelity and loyalty addressed to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him.
